ChefMLK School of Cooking is owned and operated by Chef Martin Kobald, Honorary Past President of SA Chefs Association and current Vice President of Worldchefs. The ChefMLK Group of Companies also includes ChefMLK Attire & Corporate Gifting PTY LTD and ChefMLK Consulting PTY Ltd which provides professional culinary consulting services.
Chef Martin was inspired to open a school which will reach and enable access for graduates who will benefit the Industry. He shares this view with the late Dr. Bill Gallagher, personal friend and mentor.
Established in 2013, the School initially offered informal, fun cooking classes and then shifted focus towards offering formal qualifications after moving operations to our current home. Our School offers both South African and International accredited qualification courses and is fully accredited to present our course offering.
At ChefMLK School of Cooking we aim to offer quality culinary training in a safe, community orientated environment. We maintain small groups of Trainees who receive personal attention from our dedicated Lecturing Team.
We offer clear information on what is included in our course fees and discuss the requirements with our applicants and their parents or sponsors. An ethical approach to our interactions with our ChefMLK School of Cooking community is very important to us.
